  • 2 tablespoon urad dal

  • 2 tablespoon tur dal

  • 1 tablespoon chana dal

  • 3 dried Chillies

  • 4 tablespoon grated coconut

  • 1/4 marble size tamarind

  • 5 curry leaves

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt or salt to taste

  • 1 teaspoon oil


  • In a pan add Oil on a medium flame.
  • Fry all the dals separately and keep it aside.
  • Fry tamarind ,curry leaves and dry Chillies separately.
  • At last fry coconut and keep it aside.
  • when it is completely cool down add it in a mixer and pulse it till it comes to chutney consistency.
  • This is a traditional Parupu Thenga Thogayal ,which can be consumed with hot rice or Idli and dosa.
