Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1.5 cups barley


  • 3/4 cup channa dhal


  • 3/4 cup toor dhal


  • 1/2 cup raw rice


  • 1 egg


  • 1 tablespoon peppercorns, crushed


  • 1 tablespoon cumin seeds, crushed


  • 1 teaspoon hing


  • 2 teaspoon salt


  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves


  • 1/4 cup chopped mint leaves


  • 2 onions, chopped


  • 1/2 cup rice flour

Directions

  • Wash and soak barley, rice and dhals separately for 4 hours
  • Separately Grind each to coarse paste. Take all these in a big bowl and mix well together
  • To this paste, add egg, crushed pepper, crushed cumin, hing, onion, green chilly ,mint leaves, coriander leaves, rice flour and mix well together
  • Preheat a dosai kadai and add a tablespoons of oil
  • When heated enough, two full scoops of prepared batter and spread a little with the back of the laddle
  • Reduce the flame and cook for few minutes until it turns golden brown.
  • Flip to another side and cook for few minutes. Serve hot with chutney
