For making stringhoppers boil 3 cups of water with salt. Add jeera powder to the Ragi flour and pour boiling water and mix well till stiff malleable dough.
Grease oil in stringhoppers plate and string hoppers press.
Press the dough and steam for 8 to 10 minutes .Follow the same method with rice flour. Healthy Ragi and rice stringhoppers mixed with jeera powder which helps digestion for elderly people is ready to serve.
For making Sodhi boil all the vegetables together .In a pan add oil on a medium heat .Add mustard seed, cumin and curry leaves to it. Let it splutter
Add boiled vegetables and add second pressed coconut milk .Let it boil for 2 minutes .
Now add first pressed coconut milk and immediately switch off the flame .Add a dash of lemon juice .Simple healthy Sodhi is ready.
For making coconut milk grate coconut and add water and press the milk for 2 times
To it add crushed cardamom and sugar or palm sugar to taste.
Fresh coconut milk for stringhoppers is ready . Traditional healthy comfort food for all is ready to consume
