Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 1/2 cup rice


  • 5 big tomatoes


  • 2 big potatoes


  • 10-12 ladyfinger


  • 1/2 cup peas


  • 1-2 green chilli


  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds


  • 1/4 tsp asafetida


  • 2 tsp salt


  • 2 tbsp oil


  • 3 cups water

Directions

  • Peel the potatoes and cube them.
  • Cut the ends of ladyfingers and slit them longitudinally.
  • Blanch the tomatoes and make a puree and sieve it
  • In a pressure cooker take oil and saute the vegetables slightly and keep them aside.
  • In the same oil,add cumin seeds,fenugreek seeds,curry leaves,asafetida and green chillies and saute them till the seeds splutter.
  • Add the tomato puree to it.
  • Add the vegetables, rice and more water .
  • Add salt and mix it all well.
  • Close the pressure cooker and let it simmer for 15 mins after 2 whistles.
  • Let the pressure go off and then serve it hot.
