Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 cups wheat flour


  • 1 cup yellow moong dal


  • 2 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)


  • 1/2 tsp asafoetida (hing)


  • 2 tbsp oil


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) (optional)


  • 1 tsp whole coriander seeds (dhania)


  • 1 pinch of clove powder


  • 1 tsp salt or as needed


  • 1 cup water or as needed


  • 1/2 cup oil for frying


  • 1/2 tsp garam masala


  • 1 tsp dry fenugreek leaves (pan methi)

Directions

  • Wash and soak moong dal for 1 hour.
  • Take wheat flour in a big bowl and add all the species into it and mix well.
  • Now add 2 tbsp oil and soaked dal into it.
  • Make soft dough using water little by little as needed.
  • Grease the dough ball with 2-3 drops of oil. Cover it and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
  • Divide the dough into small balls and roll out pooris from it.
  • Heat the tava or pan and roast it from both side by drizzling some oil till crispy.
  • Serve with curd, rajasthani kaddi or pickle. Enjoy. ☺
