2 cups wheat flour
1 cup yellow moong dal
2 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 tsp asafoetida (hing)
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) (optional)
1 tsp whole coriander seeds (dhania)
1 pinch of clove powder
1 tsp salt or as needed
1 cup water or as needed
1/2 cup oil for frying
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp dry fenugreek leaves (pan methi)
Wash and soak moong dal for 1 hour.
Take wheat flour in a big bowl and add all the species into it and mix well.
Now add 2 tbsp oil and soaked dal into it.
Make soft dough using water little by little as needed.
Grease the dough ball with 2-3 drops of oil. Cover it and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
Divide the dough into small balls and roll out pooris from it.
Heat the tava or pan and roast it from both side by drizzling some oil till crispy.
Serve with curd, rajasthani kaddi or pickle. Enjoy. ☺
