Ingredients

  • Jowar flour 2 cups


  • Salt 1/2 teaspoon


  • Washed and Chopped spring onion 4 cups


  • Besan or chana dal flour 1 cup


  • Oil 2 tablespoons


  • Mustard Seed 1 teaspoon


  • Turmeric powder 2 teaspoon


  • Red chilly powder 2-3 teaspoon


  • For Pithla , Besan or chana dal flour 1 cup


  • Oil 1 tablespoon


  • Mustard Seed 1 teaspoon


  • Crushed garlic 1 teaspoon


  • Butter milk 2 cups

Directions

  • In a mixing bowl take flour, salt and warm water..mix well Knead it in to a soft dough Heat tawa, Sprinkle dry flour on a paper or rolling board Start making bhakari in round shape ...Cook on tawa .. layer some water on cooking bhakari ..cook from both sides .. later dry roast directly on flame .Jawar bhakari is ready
  • For Jhunka, Heat oil and add rai ..let it crackle ..add turmeric powder, red chilly powder and chopped green chilly . Add chopped spring onion and salt..mix well and let it cook covered for 5 minutes . Add chana dal flour ..mix well and covered again for next 5 minutes ..and ready to serve .
  • For Pithla, In a mixing bowl take chana dal flour, butter milk ,heeng , and green chilly ..mix well with out lumps . Heat oil , add rai ..let it crackle ..add curry leaves , crushed garlic , finely chopped onion .. sauté little. Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder and chana dal flour batter. Add salt as per taste ...cook uncovered and mix consistently . Later cook covered for some time ...add chopped coriander and it's ready to serve .
