First of all, wash mung dal and soak in sufficient water for approximately 15-20 minutes
Later, remove excess water from soaked dal
Grind the dal coarsely in mixer
Later , mix all ingredients in coarsely crushed dal
Mix well everything in to a uniform mixture
Heat sufficient oil in a heavy bottom pan and prepare small dumplings from ready batter and drop in hot oil
Keep turning in between and fry all mungode till golden brown and crisp from all sides
Remove all mungode or mung dal fritters on a kitchen paper to absorb excess oil
Serve hot immediately with green chutney and enjoy
Enjoy endlessly with family and friends
It's a traditional fritter from north India which is specially prepared on the eve of Makar Sankranti or Lohadi . It is said it provides warmth to body to welcome the onset tje winter season .
