Description

Roti ka Meetha Churma or churma modak is a traditional sweet dish well-known to almost every household in Rajasthan and Haryana. It provides instant high energy.  Choorma is made by crushing thick wheat flour roti in desi ghee and gur/ shakkar and is served with ghee.

Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • 1 cup Whole wheat flour


  • 1/2 cup Pure Desi Ghee


  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar or crushed jaggery.


  • 2 teaspoon Milk


  • 8 almonds finely chopped

Directions

  • Take whole wheat flour in a big bowl add 1 tablespoon of ghee and milk in it.
  • Mix well and knead a tight dough with the help of water.
  • Divide the dough into the small size of balls and roll them into flat chapatis.
  • On medium flame roast chapatis until golden brown and crisp.
  • Now crush the chapatis into small pieces.
  • You can also pulse them in a grinder for a few seconds to get a coarse mixture.
  • Pour 2 tablespoons of Ghee and add powdered sugar in the mixture.
  • Mix the mixture very well with palms.
  • Now take lemon suzed mixture and make shapes of churma modaks or laddoos as per the choice.
  • Garnish with chopped almonds.
  • Churma modaks are ready to serve.
