Wheat flour halwa or kada prasad is served as prasad in gurudwara.
It is made of whole wheat flour, where the flour is roasted in ghee and finally sugar is added to make a delicious and soft halwa.
Atte ka halwa tastes best when it is served hot, but its can also be served cold or at room temperature. Its very quick easy to make.

Ingredients
Serves : 4
1 cup Whole wheat flour, preferably coarse wheat flour
2/3 cup Sugar
2/3 cup Ghee / clarified butter
2 pinch cardamom powder (optional)
3 cups Water
For the garnish - 6 almonds halved
6 cashews halved
6 pistachios chopped
Directions
Heat ghee in a kadhai /wok and add the wheat flour and start stirring it briskly, to avoid lumps
Keep stirring it for the next 5-7 minutes on a medium to low flame or until the colour of the wheat flour changes to golden brown and you get the aroma.
Once you get the desired nice colour then add sugar followed by 3 cups of hot water
Keep stirring frequently and bring it to a boil.
Simmer the flame add cardamom powder and stir for a minute until the ghee starts separating from the halwa.
This step is very important to get a light and perfect halwa
Take it out in a serving bowl and garnish with some sliced almonds, cashews or any dry fruits that you have in your kitchen and serve hot.
