Kozhukattai or rice balls are a native rice delicacy of South India. During the festival of Ganesha or popularly known as Vinayagar chathurthi this dish is prepared. They have two varieties namely sweet and sour kozhukattai. In this recipe we are preparing colorful rice balls or colorful rice kozhukattai by adding colors like turmeric powder for yellow color and chocolate syrup like Hershey's to give chocolate color.

Ingredients
Serves : 2
Rice flour 1 cup
Fortune Sunflower oil 2 tablespoons
Salt to taste 1/4 teaspoon
Hershey's chocolate syrup 2 tablespoons
Turmeric powder 1/4 powder
Beetroot juice 2 tablespoons
Directions
Now fry the rice flour on low flame add 2 tablespoons of our and salt. To this rice mixture add 2 to 2-1/2 cups of water. Now mix well till the dough leaves the sides of the tava.
Now divide this rice flour into three parts in one part add Turmeric powder, in another part add Hershey's chocolate syrup and to the third part add beet root juice.
Now make balls out of this rice dough. Now place the rice balls on an idli plate. Now the colorful rice kozhukattais are ready to be eaten.
