Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 200 gms aloe vera


  • 1/2 tsp mathania lal mirch powder


  • 1 tsp coriander powder


  • 1 pinch asafoetida


  • 1/2 tsp methi seeds


  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds


  • 1/2 tsp amchoor powder


  • 1/2 tsp jaggery


  • 1 nos black cardamoms


  • 1 nos star anise


  • 1 piece cinnamon stick


  • 1 tbsp yogurt


  • 1 tsp salt

Directions

  • Peel and cut the aloe vera into cubes. If it is tender you can cook with the skin after cutting the thorny edges.
  • Boil the pieces with a little salt for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a pan heat the mustard oil to a smoking point and reduce the heat.
  • Add the asafoetida and whole spices.
  • When they give out an aroma tip in the spice powders . Add a little water.
  • Now add salt and jaggery. Stir well and add the boiled aloe vera.
  • Simmer it for 5 minutes. Finally add the beaten yogurt and stir well .
  • After one boil remove from the gas.
