Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 8 nos potatoes (cut into two pieces)


  • 1/2 cups green peas


  • 1 tsp ginger paste


  • 4 tbsp mustard oil


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida


  • 1 nos bay leaf


  • 2 nos whole dry red chilli


  • 1 tsp turmeric powder


  • 2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder


  • 2 nos medium size tomatoes(sliced)


  • 1/2 tsp sugar


  • 1/4 tsp garam masala powder (3 green cardamoms, 3 cloves,1" cinnamon stick are dry roasted and powdered)


  • 1 tsp salt or as per taste


  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves


  • 3-4 nos slited green chillies

Directions

  • Firstly boiled potatoes in salted water ,peel their skin and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan; add bay leaf, whole dry red chilli, cumin seeds, asafoetida , allow them to splutter.
  • Add boiled potatoes fry for 1-2 minutes ,then add ginger paste , sugar and fry it in high flame for couple of minutes.
  • Now add sliced tomatoes, green peas, turmeric powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, salt and cooked for 5 -7 minutes.
  • Add a cup of water ,cover the pan ,cook it in low flame for 10 minutes.
  • Put off the flame; add slited green chillies, garam masala powder and chopped coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot and enjoy.
