Ingredients

Serves 3

  • potatoes (cut into two pieces) 8 nos

  • green peas 1/2 cups

  • ginger paste 1 tsp

  • mustard oil 4 tbsp

  • cumin seeds 1 tsp

  • asafoetida 1/4 tsp

  • bay leaf 1 nos

  • whole dry red chilli 2 nos

  • turmeric powder 1 tsp

  • Kashmiri red chilli Powder 2 tsp

  • medium size tomatoes(sliced) 2 nos

  • sugar 1/2 tsp

  • garam masala powder (3 green cardamoms, 3 cloves,1" cinnamon stick are dry roasted and powdered) 1/4 tsp

  • Salt or as per taste 1 tsp

  • chopped coriander leaves 1 tbsp

  • slited green chillies 3-4 nos

Directions

    Firstly boiled potatoes in salted water ,peel their skin and keep aside.

    Heat oil in a pan; add bay leaf, whole dry red chilli, cumin seeds, asafoetida , allow them to splutter.

    Add boiled potatoes fry for 1-2 minutes ,then add ginger paste , sugar and fry it in high flame for couple of minutes.

    Now add sliced tomatoes, green peas, turmeric powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, salt and cooked for 5 -7 minutes.

    Add a cup of water ,cover the pan ,cook it in low flame for 10 minutes.

    Put off the flame; add slited green chillies, garam masala powder and chopped coriander leaves.

    Serve hot and enjoy.
