Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 1/2 cup chana dal


  • 1/2 cup dhuli moong dal


  • 1/2 cup arhar dal


  • 1/2 cup rice


  • 1 tsp chopped ginger


  • 1/2 tsp jeera


  • 1 pinch hing


  • 1.5 tsp salt


  • 1 tsp mirch powder


  • 1/2 tsp haldi


  • 5 Cup water


  • 4 tsp ghee


  • 1 tsp chopped coriander

Directions

  • Wash n soak all dals n rice for 2 hrs.
  • In a pressure cooker , heat 2 tsp ghee, add jeera, hing, add n saute ginger n add all other spices.
  • Pour water in cooker n when it starts boiling add all dals n rice.
  • Cook it till 4 whistles blow.
  • Once khichdi is cooked, open the lid of cooker, mash it properly using big ladle.
  • Garnish it with chopped coriander n ghee. It tastes best with Raita, chutney or pickle.
