Remove the skin of the bananas and immerse into water.
After five minutes take them from water and cut through centre and then cut each pieces into thick pieces .(see the shape of sharkkaravaratti in the picture)
Boil coconut oil in a thick bottemed kadai and fry the banana pieces till crispy.
In another kadai boil 1/2 glass of water and add gaggery till it melts.
Remove the dust of the jaggery surup using a strainer and keep aside.
Fry the red rice (no oil is needed)and powder it using a mixi.
Take a kadai and add jaggery syrup into it and boil it until it become thick.
Then add the fried bananas to the thick surup and mix well. when the babana pieces are completely covered with the syrup swich of the stove and add the prepared red rice powder,dry ginger powder,cumin powder andmix well .
If the bananas stick to each other remember to seperate it with the spatula when it is hot. Springle the Sugar granules on it.
Now Kerala's famous delicious sarkkaravaratti is ready to serve.
