Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1) Potatoes - Boiled (6 potatoes, each cut into 4 equal parts)


  • 2) Bayleaves - 2


  • 3) Cumin seeds- 1 Teaspoon


  • 4) Cardamom- 2


  • 5) Cinamon- 2/3 Sticks


  • 6) Asafoetida (Hing) - 1/2 Teaspoon,


  • 7) Ginger Pste - 2 Teaspoon


  • 8) Turmeric Powder - 1 Teaspoon


  • 9) Chilly Powder - 1 Teaspoon


  • 10) Cumin Powder - 1 Teaspoon


  • 11) Tomato Puree - 200 gms Ready Puree (or made at home from 3/4 large tomatoes)


  • 12) Green Peas - Frozen 1 Cup


  • 13) Garam Masala Powder - 1 Teaspoon


  • 14) Coriander Leaves - Chopped


  • 15) Oil - 2 Table spoon


  • 16) Salt To Taste


  • 17) Sugar – 1 Teaspoon


Directions

  • 1) Heat Oil in a kadai. 2) Add Bayleaves -2,Cumin seeds - 1 Teaspoon, Cardamom -2 & Cinamon -2/3 Sticks. Add Asafoetida / Hing -half teaspoon. Saute everything well. 3) Add Ginger paste - 2 Teaspoon and mix. 3) Add Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon, chilly powder - 1 teaspoon, cumin powder - 1 teaspoon and saute well. 4) Now add little water and fry the masalas well. 5) Add tomato puree - 200 gms Ready Puree (or made at home from 3/4 large tomatoes). Mix well. 6) Add salt to taste and sugar - 1 teaspoon 7) Add frozen green peas - 1 cup. Mix well, simmer & cook for 5 mins. 8) Add the boiled potatoes and coat well in the masala. 9) add water - 1 cup & let it boil. Then cover & cook on low flame for 10 mins. 10) Open cover, add garam masala powder - 1 teaspoon & mix well. 11) Add chopped coriander leaves and mix. 12) Garnisg with some chopped more coriander leaves & Serve hot with Roti / Paratha / Puri or Pulao and enjoy !!
