Buttermilk is a dairy drink prepared from curd. Traditionally the buttermilk referred as the liquid left behind after churning butter (Loni or unsalted butter) out of cream or curd. This method is still popular in Indian, Nepalese, Pakistani household.
At some places, buttermilk is spiced and served and recipes vary by region.

Ingredients
Serves : 2
Yogurt – 1 cup
Sugar - 1/4 teaspoon or 1 pinch of
Cumin powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon 0r to taste
Water – 1 - 1 1/2 cup to adjust the consistency
Directions
In a blender take fresh curd, sugar, salt, cumin powder. Blend for few seconds.
Add chilled or plain water. Blend until mixture becomes frothy.
