Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • Very fine banarasi sewain 1 cup


  • Khoya 1 cup


  • Milk 1 cup


  • Water 1 cup


  • sugar 1 cup


  • Ghee 1 cup


  • Makhana cut into halves 1/2 cup


  • Chironji 1 tbsp


  • Raisins 1 tbsp


  • Coconut cut into small pieces 1 tbsp


  • Chopped pistachios ,cashews and almonds for garnishing or 2 to 3 tsp

Directions

  • In a heavy bottomed pan add sugar and water .
  • When it boils add milk to it. Cook for few minutes. If you find any dirt remove it with sieve .
  • Now add khoya and cook till get 2 string thread consistency known as sheera.
  • In a pan dry roast sewain till seems light brown and roasted well (aroma appeared) keep aside in separate bowl.
  • Now heat ghee and fry makhana,then chironji ,and then coconut. Keep aside
  • Now add sewain in chashni or sheera ,add fried makhana, chironji, coconut to it.
  • Cook for 5 minute and switch off the flame and cover the lid for atleast 10 minutes.
  • Garnish with chopped cashews, pistachios and almonds.
