  • Tuar dal- 1/2cup

  • Brinjal- 1small

  • Potato- 1small

  • Long beans- 4

  • Pumpkin cubed- 3tbsp

  • Pointed gaurd- 1

  • Plantain- 1/4th of a medium 1

  • Haldi- 1/2tsp

  • Salt- 1/2tsp

  • Tomato- 1medium

  • Ghee- 1tbsp

  • Cumin seeds- 1tbsp- 1tsp

  • Panch phoran- 1tbsp

  • Red chili- 1 2

  • Scraped coconut- 2tbsp

  • Cubed raw papaya- 1tbsp

  • Hing- 1pinch

  • Chopped coriander leaves- 2tbsp


  • Clean and cut all the Vegetables in cubed. And keep aside
  • Dry roast 1tbsp cumin and 2red chili and make a coarse powder
  • In a pressure cooker add washed dal and all tge veggies and aslo haldi, salt and cook it for 2 whistles.
  • Let it open naturally
  • In another kadai heat ghee, red chili and let it change its colour
  • Now add panch phoran and let it crackle and hing.
  • Now add boiled veggies and lentil and let it boil.
  • Now add roasted powder, scraped coconut and coriander leaves and mix
  • It tastes gr8 with palin rice, khichdi , roti ya paratha
