Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • 1 cup urad dal skinless ( soaked 6 hours)


  • 2 cup rice grains ( soaked 6 hours)


  • 1 pinch soda


  • 2 tsp salt or as required

Directions

  • Grind urad dal to smooth paste.
  • Grind rice grains to smooth paste.
  • Mix the paste together and keep for 7-8 hours for fermentation.
  • Later add soda, salt and mix well.
  • Grease idli batter and pour some batter in idli container. Steam for 10 minutes and serve with peanut chutney and sambar.
