Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 2 cups chana dal soaked for an hour.


  • 2 tsp grated coconut


  • 2 tsp cardamom powder


  • 1 pinch nutmeg


  • 1 cups sugar


  • 1 1/2 cups maida


  • 1 cups ghee

Directions

  • Pressure cook chana dal by adding little water, sugar for 5 whistles.
  • Mash it using a masher . Add coconut, nuts, cardamom powder, nutmeg and mix well.
  • Knead maida to a soft dough using some ghee and keep for a minute.
  • Roll small rotis and stuff puran minxture. Give it a shape of modak and deep fry in ghee.
  • Serve hot.
