Ingredients
Serves 4
Taro Stolon / Kochur Loti (par-boiled with salt) - 1 medium bowl
Shrimp (clean n marinated with salt-turmeric) - 200 gms
Turmeric powder - 2teaspoon
Red chilli powder - 2teaspoon
Green chilli - 2-3
Onion (chopped) - 1cup
Garlic(chopped) - 2-3 cloves
Mustard oil - 150 ml
Salt- 2tablespoon / as per taste
Cumin powder - 2teaspoon
Sugar- 2teaspoon
Directions
Heat mustard oil and fry the marinated shrimps..
Keep them aside.. Into the same pan fry par-boiled taro stolon/kochur loti..
Add onion, garlic
Mix them and fry
Add turmeric powder, red chillies and cumin powder
Cover and let it cook until taro stolons get fully softened
After every 2-3 minutes, uncover it and stir..
Here at this stage u can add mustard paste also.. bt I like to have it more shrimpy flavour..
Add fried shrimps.. and add salt and sugar..
Add slitted green chillies
If required, add quarter cup of water..
Then mix them well.. when it comes all together , turn off the heat..
Serve hot with plain steamed rice and any type of khatti dal like imli-dal, kachche aam ki dal..
