Roast or microwave the papads. I cook on tawa and apply some oil on it.
In a bowl, add yogurt and water and whisk it nicely. Now, add gram flour, some salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder.
Mix all the ingredients nicely, and keep aside.
Now, take a pan and add ghee or oil, and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and asafetida. Sauté it for a second and add garlic and sauté for another second.
On the low flame, add the yogurt mixture in a pan and stir it constantly.
Now, add some water and cook till the oil separates.
Then, add papad pieces and mix well.
Allow this to cook for 6 to 10 minutes, and add lemon juice.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
