wash and soak dal for 30-40minutes
after 30-40minutes drain exess water and gring dal to a fine paste
heat oil in a pan add baking soda to dal mix well
put small balls of dal with the help of spoon or fingers like pakoda to hot oil and fry to golden color on medium flame
after frying take oul of oil and keep aside
for making sugar syrup put sugar in a vessel add 1cup water to it add cardamom powder and bring a boil to it
let sugar dissolves completly switch of flame leave it for 5-6minutes
put fried badas in syrup leave for 10minutes add almonds and rose essence and serve
