first peel and cut lauki discarding the seeds
soak rice for 2-3 hours
in a pressure cooker cook lauki for 1 whistle
blend together rice and lauki in a blender
in a deep thick bottom pan boil this mixture with 4 cups of water
stir it continuously as the rice will thicken and form lumps
check with your wet hands..if it is not sticky then it's done
add gud and mix well
it will become like a sticky dough
add coconut and mix well
grease a baking pan and transfer this dough to the pan
with some ghee on your palm level the dough uniformly
add the remaining ghee all over it
now bake at 200 degrees for 1 and half hour
check if the sides will leave the pan and a beautiful golden colour will appear on the crust
let it cool completely
cut into pieces and serve
