Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 500g firm fish fillets


  • 1 teaspoon salt or as per taste


  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves


  • 3/4 cup mint leaves


  • 2 green chillies


  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice


  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger


  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger minced


  • 1/2 cup Besan


  • 3/4 teaspoon salt or as per taste


  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric


  • 1/4 teaspoon roasted cumin powder


  • 1/2 cup cream


  • 1 cup yoghurt


  • 3/4 teaspoon turmeric


  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder


  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds


  • 4 teaspoon oil


  • 1 tsp salt or as per taste

Directions

  • Wash and cut fish fillet. Marinate with salt and keep it aside
  • Grind coriander, mint leaves, green chillies, ginger garlic, lemon juice to smooth paste and keep it aside
  • Reserve 2 teaspoon of green paste and use the rest to marinate only top part of each fillets
  • Now place paste covered portion of 1 fillet on another fillet top and form sandwich. Do this with rest of the fillets too
  • Mix besan, salt , turmeric, roasted cumin powder with adequate water to form smooth thick batter
  • Dip the fish fillet sandwich into batter, coat well. Shallow fry the fillets until golden brown on all sides. Keep it aside
  • Mix cream, yoghurt, turmeric, red chilli powder, reserved green paste, salt with 3 -4 tbsp water in a bowl and keep it aside
  • Heat oil in a pan and splutter cumin seeds
  • Add cream mixture and mix well
  • Once it starts bubbling, add fried fish fillet
  • Gently stir and switch off. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves
  • Serve hot with rice or roti
