Nachani Laddu / Ragi Flour Laddus

  • Ragi flour 2 cups

  • Ghee 1-2 cups

  • Jaggery / Gud chopped 1 and 1/2 cup

  • Chopped dry fruits 1 tablespoon

  • Cardamom powder 2 pinches


  • Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pan and add ragi flour
  • Saute' till golden brown and nice aroma starts coming
  • Take out sauteed flour in a plate
  • In the same pan , add chopped jaggery and cook till it melts and start boiling
  • Immediatly add sauteed ragi flour , cardamom powder and chopped dry fruits
  • Switch off heat and mix well till uniform mixture
  • Apply some ghee on palms and prepare laddus or balls of your required size
  • Let them cool completely amd then store in air tight container
  • These laddus stays well out for next 15 days
  • But i am sure ...they gonna vanish before that
  • This is Traditional Maharashtrian laddu recipe .. which is very healthy and filling. As it's rich source of iron and calcium ... Good for all ages .
