What comes on your mind when you think of chicken dishes? Not always stuffed up with lot of spices and oil isn’t it? OK lets have a look at a less oil less spicy simple but delicious chicken main course….. Yes our today’s recipe is BHUNA CHICKEN ( marinade thick gravy)

Serves : 4
  • 500 gms chicken

  • 2 tbsp chilly powder

  • 1 tbsp coriander powder

  • 1 tbsp cumin powder

  • 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tbsp salt

  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

  • 5 tbsp thick yogurt

  • 4 tbsp garam masala

  • 4 tbsp oil

  • 2 nos onion finely chopped


  • Marinate the all marinade ingredients finely and keep it for 1 hour.
  • Heat the cooking oil, and fry the onions to golden brown, add ginger garlic paste keep stirring for 2 minutes.
  • Now add the marinated masala to the fried onion stirr finely on high flame for couple of minutes. And let it cook on low flame covered vessel for 20-25 minutes. But keep stirring vocationally make sure that it should not burn at the bottom.
  • No need to add more oil or water the meat juices will release enough to boil, if you want more gravy then you can add little water.
  • Now the rich thick juicy BHUNA CHICKEN is ready to serve, can be served with roti/paratha/rice.
