Ingredients

Serves : 10
  • 2 cups rice flour


  • 1.5 cups jagury


  • 2 pinch salt


  • 2 cups fresh coconut churned


  • 2 tsp ghee


  • 1.5 cups water


  • 2 tbsp roasted poppy seeds


  • 1.5 tsp cardamom powder

Directions

  • Boil water in a heavy bottom pan
  • Add 1 tsp ghee & salt
  • Now add ,Rice flour & mix it well quickly
  • Turn off the gas & keep it covered for 10 min.s
  • Now take another heavy bottom pan & add 1 tsp ghee
  • Add coconut & roast it for 1 min.
  • Now add jegury (gudh) & mix it untill melt completely.
  • Let it cook for 3-5 min's & now add Khoya & cardamom powder.,mix well, let it cool completely.
  • Now ,take the rice flour mix & grease your palms with ghee & knead it untill make a very smooth dough.
  • Make small lemon balls & put 1 tsp stuffing & give it a shape like modak.
  • Boil water in a steamer, put Modaks & cover it till 20 mins.
  • Once it will done, they get a shiny surface.
