  • Chhole- 1cup

  • Palak- 1bunch

  • Onion- 2medium

  • Ginger and garlic paste- 2tbsp

  • Salt- 1/2tsp 1/2tsp

  • Haldi- 1/2tsp

  • Red chili powder- 1/2tsp

  • Coriander powder- 1/2tsp

  • Cumin powder- 1/2tsp

  • Garam masala- 1tsp

  • Oil- 2tbsp

  • Tomatoes- 2medium

  • Kasuri methi- 1.5tbsp

  • Butter- 1tbsp

  • Green chili- 2

  • Cumin- 1tsp

  • Amachur- 1tsp


  • Soak kabuli chana for 2hours
  • Soak palak for 15mins. Then chop them
  • Boil the soaked kabuli chana with salt for 2 whistles
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add cumin to it and let it crackle
  • Chop the onions and add to the oil. cook up to golden
  • Now add ginger and garlic paste and saute
  • When raw smell goes add chopped tomatoes and saute . Now add all the dey spices except kasuri methi
  • Cook up to raw smell goes
  • Now add chopped palak to it and cook for 3mins. Then add boiled chhole to it and saute up to dry.
  • Now add kasuri methi, butter and green chili to it
  • Also add 1/2cup of water and let it boil.
  • Then cover it with whistle on and cook for 2 whistles in high and 1 in low
  • Let it open naturally. And its done
  • A best side dish for paratha or rice
