  • 6 inch banana stem

  • 1 nos potato

  • 1 nos brinjal

  • 1 nos colacassia

  • 2 tbsp poppy seeds

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds

  • 3 nos garlic cloves

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 1 tbsp panch phoran

  • 1 nos red chili

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp haldi

  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder


  • Soak poppy seeds and cumin for 1 hour.
  • In a blender jar add soaked seeds, cumin and garlic and make a smooth paste
  • Peel the banana stem to reach at the core
  • Chop all the veggies
  • Heat oil in a kadai, add red chili breaking into two. Then add panch phoran and let it crackle
  • Now add all the viggies and saute in high flame first. Then slow the flame add the dry spices.
  • Cook the veggies up to 3/4done
  • Now add the paste and 1/4cup of water and cook up to veggies are soft
  • If there is more water then increase the flame and make it dry
  • Done. It is gr8 to have with rice
