Ingredients

Serves 4

  • rice 1 1/2 cups

  • split Green moong dal 1/2 cups

  • onion sliced 2 nos

  • mix chopped vegetables (potatoes, peas, carrot, cauliflower, capsicum tomatoes) 2 cups

  • water 6 cups

  • ghee 5 tbsp

  • garlic crushed 8-10 nos

  • jeera 1/2 tsp

  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp

  • haldi 1/2 tsp

  • Salt as per taste 1 pinch

  • coriander leaves chopped 1/2 cups

Directions

    Clean, Wash and soak rice and moong dal for 30 minutes.

    Heat ghee in a pan,when ghee is hot enough add jeera and let them crackle now add crushed garlic and saute for a while.

    Now add sliced onions and saute approx 1 minute.

    Now add mix vegetables and saute for a minute.

    Now add soak rice dal, haldi,salt,red chilli powder mix well.

    Now add 6 cup water and bring it to a boil,when it starts boiling cover it and cook for 10-15 minutes on slow flame.

    Stir occasionally in between.

    When it cooked add coriander leaves and mix well.

  • 09

    Serve hot with lots of ghee and papad.
