Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 1/2 cups rice


  • 1/2 cups split green moong dal


  • 2 nos onion sliced


  • 2 cups mix chopped vegetables (potatoes, peas, carrot, cauliflower, capsicum tomatoes)


  • 6 cups water


  • 5 tbsp ghee


  • 8-10 nos garlic crushed


  • 1/2 tsp jeera


  • 1 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1/2 tsp haldi


  • 1 pinch salt as per taste


  • 1/2 cups coriander leaves chopped

Directions

  • Clean, Wash and soak rice and moong dal for 30 minutes.
  • Heat ghee in a pan,when ghee is hot enough add jeera and let them crackle now add crushed garlic and saute for a while.
  • Now add sliced onions and saute approx 1 minute.
  • Now add mix vegetables and saute for a minute.
  • Now add soak rice dal, haldi,salt,red chilli powder mix well.
  • Now add 6 cup water and bring it to a boil,when it starts boiling cover it and cook for 10-15 minutes on slow flame.
  • Stir occasionally in between.
  • When it cooked add coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Serve hot with lots of ghee and papad.
