Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Hilsa Fish 4 piece

  • salt or to taste 1/2 tsp

  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

  • yoghurt 4 tbsp

  • green chili, chopped 1 nos

  • mustard oil + 1 tsp. for the marinade 2 tbsp

  • nigella seeds (kalonji) 1/2 tsp

  • green chilies, slit 1-2 nos

Directions

    Marinate the fish with yoghurt, salt, turmeric powder, 1 tsp. mustard oil and chopped green chilies for 10 minutes. Heat 1 tbsp. mustard oil in a pan and temper with nigella seeds and slit green chilies. Saute for a few seconds.

    Add the marinated fish and cook, covered on a low flame for 4-5 minutes. When done add the remaining mustard oil and coriander leaves.
