  • 200 gms jaggery

  • 2 tbsp ghee

  • 1 tsp ginger powder

  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder

  • 75 gms puffed rice


  • In a bowl dissolve the jaggery in water and strain in to avoid lumps
  • In a non stick pan add the jaggery syrup and add the ghee and let it boil in a simmer flame until you get 1string consistency
  • One it is attained , add the ginger powder and cardamom Powder and give it a mix
  • Add the jaggery syrup to the puffed rice and mix it before the heat reduces
  • Apply ghee in palm and shape it in desired quantities
  • Pori urundai is ready
