Paneer lababdar is a popular north Indian recipe. This dish is very flavourful, creamy and tasty. It is very easy to make and yummy to eat.

  • 250 gms cottage cheese

  • 1 nos finely chopped onion

  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

  • 2 nos finely chopped tomatoes

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds

  • 1 pinch salt according to taste

  • 1 tsp red chilly powder

  • 1 tsp corriander powder

  • 1 tsp paneer masala

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1/2 cups corriander leaves

  • 1/2 cups cream or malai

  • 2 nos finely chopped green chilly

  • 1/2 cups grated cottage cheese


  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and soute for a while.
  • Add onions in it and saute them till they become transparent
  • Add tomatoes and green chillies in it and saute till they become mushy.
  • Add dry spices in it. Mix well.
  • Switch off the flame and let this mixture cool.
  • Grind this mixture with cream in a smooth paste.
  • Transfer this mixture in a pan.
  • Add grated cheese and cheese cubes in it.
  • Stir well and cook for two minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
