  • Yellow moong dal- 1cup

  • Chana dal- 1/2cup

  • Roasted cumin seeds- 2tsp

  • Ginger- 1unch piece

  • Chopped coriander leaves- 2tbsp

  • Hing- 1/8tsp

  • Red chili powder- 1tsp

  • Haldi- 1/2tsp

  • Salt- 1/2tsp

  • Green chili- 2

  • Oil- 1.5cup for deep frying

  • Radiah or mooli- 1 medium (grated)

  • Onion- 1 medium ( chopped)

  • Green chutney- 1cup

  • Tamarind chutney- 1cup

  • Chat masala- 1tbsp

  • Chopped coriander leaves- 3tbsp

  • Baking soda- 1/2tsp


  • Wash and soak moing dal and chana dal for 2 hours
  • After two hours grind these to it a semi coarse paste along with green chilis. the paste should not be very thin.
  • Heat oil in a kadai
  • In a bowl add dal paste and also add grated ginger, roasted cumin seeds, hing, salt, red chili powder and haldi powder and mix properly
  • Now add baking soda to it and mix
  • Next drop small roudrels in to the hot oil and prepare ladoo. bring out from oil and drain on a tissue paper
  • Now place 4 to 5 ladoos in a serving bowl, on that add some grated radish, chopped onion, sprinkle some chat masala also drizzle some green and tamarind chutney
  • Ram ladoo is ready
