 Tawa Paneer tikka

A mouthwatering snack /a delectable starter that can easily be prepared on griddle even if u don't have a tandoor.

  • 500 gms for tawa paneer tikka: paneer(cottage cheese)

  • 2 nos green capsicums cut into 1 inch pieces

  • 1 nos tomato sliced vertically.

  • 1 nos onion sliced vertically

  • 2 tsp oil

  • 2 tbsp chaat masala

  • 1 cups for marinade :hung curd

  • 2 tsp ginger-garlic garlic paste

  • 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder

  • 2 pinch turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp garam masala powder

  • 2-3 tbsp fresh cream

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp salt and black pepper to taste.


  • Cut paneer into one and a half inch squares with half inch thickness.
  • Deseed the capsicums and tomato.
  • Mix together all the ingredients of the marinade.
  • Now marinate the paneer cubes, capsicum, tomatoes and onions in it for about half an hour.
  • Heat oil on a tawa, place the paneer cubes and shallow fry till golden and crisp on the surface.
  • Take the paneer cubes out in a plate.
  • Toss the capsicums , onion and tomato pieces in the remaining marinade and sauté them in the remaining oil on the tawa for two to three minutes on a medium flame.
  • For the plating :Place a capsicum piece , tomato and onion pieces on each paneer cube
  • pierce with a decorative toothpick. Sprinkle chaat masala and pepper and serve hot. Enjoy! !
