  • Big green chili- 7

  • Peanut- 2tbsp

  • Sesame seeds- 1.5tbsp

  • Scraped coconut- 1tbsp

  • Oil- 2tbsp

  • Onion- 1medium sliced

  • Ginger and garlic patse- 1tsp

  • Mustard- 1/2tsp

  • Cumin- 1/2tsp

  • Curry leaves- 1sprig

  • Haldi- 1/2tsp

  • Red chili powder- 1/2tsp

  • Tamarind- 1 small lemon size ball


  • Soak tamarind in hit water and keep aside for 30 mins. Then make pulp out of it
  • In a pan dry roast peanuts for 5 to 6 mins. Then add seasme seeds and allow to pop. To that add scraped coconut and let it cool down
  • In tha same pan heat oil, add onion and saute up to golden. Then ginger and garlic paste and cook up yo raw smell goes. allow to cool
  • In a blender jar add roasted and onion mixture and make a coarse paste
  • Heat oil in the pan and add the deseeded green chilies. one can use very hot chilies or mild chilies or mix of two varieties. fry the chilies up to it is cooked 3/4 Heat oil in the same pan add mustard and cumin abd let it crackle
  • Then add the above paste and cook properly.
  • Now add 1 cup of water to it and let it boil
  • When it starts boiling add tamarind pulp and garam masala and mix.
  • Now add the fried chilies and cover the pan
  • Now cook thia up to chili is cooked well and you will get the desired consistency
