Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice


  • 1/2 cup green moong dal


  • 1/2 cup chopped onion


  • 1/2 cup chopped potatoes


  • 1 teaspoon salt


  • 1/2 teaspoon turmaric powder


  • 1 tablespoon green chilly paste


  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste


  • 2 tablespoon ghee


  • 1 teaspoon mustard


  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds


  • 1 tablespoon kadi patta


  • 1/2 teaspoon asafetida


  • 1 inch cineman stick


  • 2 cardamom


  • 2 bay leaf


  • For kadi ingridiants_500 ml buttermilk


  • 2 table spoon sugar


  • 2 tablespoon cheakpea flour


  • 2 inch cineman ,2 dry red chilly,2 bay leaf


  • 1& 1/4 teaspoon salt


  • 2 tablespoon oil


  • 1 teaspoon mustard_cumin


  • 1 teaspoon white fresh turmaric paste


  • 1 teaspoon peanut powder


  • For making spicy garlic chutny_2 tablespoon garlic paste


  • 1 tablespoon oil


  • 3 tablespoon chopped coriender


  • 1 teaspoon red chilly paste


  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


  • 1 tablespoon cumin_coriender powder


  • 1/4 Asafetida

Directions

  • In a bowl add rice,and moong Sal wash it twice and soak for 10 min.
  • Then remove excess water from it
  • In a pressure cooker add ghee,cinnamon,cardamom,asafetida,mustard,cumin,kadi leaves chopped onions and chopped potatoes, salt and cook for 2_3 min.
  • Then add ginger,chilly paste,and soaked dal_rice mix well cook for 2_3 min.Then add 2 cup of water and cover the lid and make 3 whistle
  • For making kadi__in a bowl add buttermilk ,cheakpea flour and mix well without lump
  • In a pan add oil,heat it add dry red chilly,cumin,mustard,bay leaf,cinnamon,asafetida,kadi leaves,and butter milk
  • Mix well,then add sugar,salt,peanut powder, fresh white turmeric paste,ginger,chilly paste,and cook for 15 min. till boiling
  • For spicy garlic chutny_in a pan add oil,heat it add asafetida,garlic paste and cook for 2_3 min.Then add red chilly powder,salt,cumin_coriander powder and cook till boil then off the flame and add coriander leaves
  • Now in any shape mould add khichdi press it and demould it in serving dish,apply garlic chutny on it,serve with kadi garnish with coriander
