  • Idly rice - 2 cup


  • Urad dal - 1/2 cup


  • Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tsp

Directions

  • Soak idli rice,Urad dal and fenugreek seeds separately for 4 to 5 hours.
  • Grind the Urad dal and fenugreek seed to a smooth and fluffy batter.
  • Grind the rice after removing Urad dal batter in a bowl.
  • mix both the batters together in a bowl with adding salt.
  • Ferment the batter for 8 hours.
  • Steaming mudda: Grease steel tumbler / bowl using coconut oil.
  • Pour the batter into the tumbler.
  • Steam cook this for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Take out the mudda and allow it to cool for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • serve this with the pumpkin Chutney and yogurt curry.
