  • 1 Kg Chicken 2 Small Onions Small Bits of Coconut Xacuti Masala Ingredients: Kashmiri Red Chillies5-6 Scraped Coconut 1/2 Cloves 3-4 Turmeric Powder1 Teaspoon Black Pepper Corns 8-10 Cumin 1 Teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds 1/4 Teaspoon Fennel seeds 1 Teaspoon Garlic 4-5 flakes Ginger 1/2 Inch 2 Inch sticks of Cinnamon 1 Table Spoon Coriander Seeds 1/2 Teaspoon sesame seeds

  • 1 tsp Nutmeg powder


  • Heat 2 tablespoon of oil in a wok and add red chillies to it.  Add the 1/2 scraped coconut along with the other Xacuti masala ingredient mentioned above and stir it.
  • Then blend the ingredients with some water until we get the nice  red color Chicken Xacuti Masala.
  • Add masala to the chicken pieces and cook it on a medium flame for about one hour. 
  • Just before it gets done, add the nutmeg powder, bits of coconut, small onions. 
  • Once you add the Onions and Coconut Pieces let it cook for a while. The authentic goan chicken xacuti is ready to serve .have a lovely meal!
