1 Kg Chicken 2 Small Onions Small Bits of Coconut Xacuti Masala Ingredients: Kashmiri Red Chillies5-6 Scraped Coconut 1/2 Cloves 3-4 Turmeric Powder1 Teaspoon Black Pepper Corns 8-10 Cumin 1 Teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds 1/4 Teaspoon Fennel seeds 1 Teaspoon Garlic 4-5 flakes Ginger 1/2 Inch 2 Inch sticks of Cinnamon 1 Table Spoon Coriander Seeds 1/2 Teaspoon sesame seeds
1 tsp Nutmeg powder
Heat 2 tablespoon of oil in a wok and add red chillies to it. Add the 1/2 scraped coconut along with the other Xacuti masala ingredient mentioned above and stir it.
Then blend the ingredients with some water until we get the nice red color Chicken Xacuti Masala.
Add masala to the chicken pieces and cook it on a medium flame for about one hour.
Just before it gets done, add the nutmeg powder, bits of coconut, small onions.
Once you add the Onions and Coconut Pieces let it cook for a while. The authentic goan chicken xacuti is ready to serve .have a lovely meal!
