Mix atta, maida and warm oil well. Drain water from sesame seeds and add to the mixture. Mix well and make a soft dough using little water.
Cover and set aside for 15 minutes.
Make equal size balls, flatten the balls with palm and prick it with knife.
Heat enough ghee on medium flame. Deep fry both sides on lower flame by flipping it till it gets to brownish color. Fry on slow flame for proper crispiness.
In a pan, add sugar and water. Boil it and make it into a thick consistency syrup.
Place on very slow flame and dip sata on both sides.
Remove in a greased plate.
Sprinkle slices of almond and pistachio and cardamom powder.
Allow them to cool down.
Delicious and yummy "Sata or Chirote (Khaja) - Gujarati Traditional Sweet" is ready to be served.
