In a pressure cooker cook the Dal with water, salt and haldi powder till 3-4 whistles blow .
In a Pan add oil and Saute garlic, onion and then add chopped tomatoes.
Add rest of the spices and cover it and cook on simmer for 7 to 10 minutes.
Add this gravy to dal in pressure cooker after opening the lid and again cook it on simmer for 5 minutes.
In tadka Pan add ghee then add jeera, hing n degi mirch powder .
Spill this Tadka over dal and Sprinkle chopped coriander
Tadke wali Dal is ready relish it with rice and roti.
