Ingredients

Serves 2

  • 1 cup soaked Chana dal(soak for 4-5 hrs)

  • 1 cup soaked rice (soak for 30mins)

  • 2 chopped onion

  • 2 chopped tomato

  • 4 garlic crushed clove

  • 1 tsp jeera / cumin

  • 3 tsp ghee

  • 1 bay leaf

  • 1/2 cinnamon

  • 1.5 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp mirchi / chilli powder

  • 1/2 tsp haldi / turmuric powder

  • 1/3 tsp garam masala

  • 4 cup water

Directions

    In a pressure cooker pour ghee,, add jeera, bay leaf, cinnamon.

    Now saute garlic and onion and add tomatoes.

  • 03

    Add all the spices(except garam masala)and cook on simmer for 10 mins.

    Pour water, let it boil then add chana dal and rice.

  • 05

    Now close the lid cook till 2 whistles come.

  • 06

    Once lid opens, sprinkle garam masala and coriander and serve it with favorite chutney.
