Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • Fish 1/2 kg


  • Ghee 3 tsp


  • Salt 2 tsp


  • Fish masala 2 tsp


  • Chilli powder 1 tsp


  • Lemon juice 1 tsp


  • Ginger garlic paste 1 1/2 tsp


  • Coriander leaves 3 tsp


  • Mint leaves 3 tsp


  • Onion 3


  • Fried onion 2


  • Coconut Oil 5 tsp deep fry


  • Cinnamon 1


  • Cardamom 2


  • Cloves 2


  • Bay leaf 1


  • Basmati rice 2 cup


  • Saffron 1/2 tsp

Directions

  • Boil water in a vessel add 1 tsp oil
  • Add bay leaf, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves
  • Add washed rice and cook for 10 mins ( 3/4th cooked rice )
  • Drain water
  • In a bowl add fish masala, chilli powder, lemon juice, salt, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder
  • Add little water to make thick paste
  • Add cleaned fish and marinate for 30 to 60 mins
  • Heat 5 tsp oil in a pan add marinated fish and cook for 2 min on both sides
  • In a cooker or heavy bottom pan add ghee
  • Add chopped onion, salt, 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • Add chilli powder, coriander leaves, mint leaves and saute it
  • Add excess marinated masala and saute it
  • Take one portion of it and keep it aside
  • Add saffron in milk and keep it aside
  • Add half cooked rice on top of gravy
  • Add fried onion, mint leaves, coriander leaves, fried fish
  • Add second layer of rice, saffron milk, coriander mint leaves
  • Add remaining fish and cover with lid
  • Place the vessel in a tawa and dum it for 10 mins on very low flame
  • For fish fry .... Fry it in a hot oil for 2 min
