How to make Lady Finger (Okra / Bhindi ki Sabzi)

Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Lady Finger / Okra / Bhindi (1/2 Kg)

  • Onion (1 Cup)

  • Tomatoes (1 Cup)

  • Green Chilli, Optional (1 or 2)

  • Garlic Paste (1 TS)

  • Ginger Paste (1/2 TS)

  • Cooking Oil (1/2 Cup)

  • Salt (As per taste or 1 TS)

  • Red Chilli Powder (1 and 1/2 ts)

  • Turmeric Powder (1 ts)

  • Cloves (3-4)

  • Black Peppercorn (3-4)

  • Pomegranate Seeds (As per taste / 1/2 ts)

  • Coriander Leaves (For Decoration, 2 TS)

Directions

    Fry Onion till its color turns to golden brown.

    Add Tomatoes, Garlic Ginger paste.

  • 03

    Make paste using 1/4 cup of water.

  • 04

    Add Salt, Red Chilli Powder, Turmeric Powder, Cloves, Black Peppercorns and Pomegranate Seeds in paste and fry.

    After making perfect paste, add chopped Lady Finger (Bhindi / Okra) and mix altogether.

  • 06

    Cover with lid for 10 minutes and mix with spoon after every couple of minutes.
