Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1cup moong


  • 1cup Broken wheat dalia


  • 3cup water


  • 3tsbp oil


  • 1 onion chopped


  • 2tsp garlic fine chopped


  • 1tsp jeera corasely grind


  • 1/2tsp dalchini powder


  • 1/4tsp black pepper powder


  • 1pinch of all spice powder


  • 3 onion chopped and fried (birsto)


  • 2cloves


  • 2elaichi


  • 1"dalchini


  • 2 bayleaves


  • 1/2tsp haldi powder


  • 3/4tsp salt as per taste

Directions

  • Soak the dalia in water for 15 to 20 minutes
  • Soak whole moong in water for 10 to 15 minutes
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker add the cloves, dalchini, elaichi, bay leaves and saute few seconds.
  • Add onion and ginger, garlic and cook on a medium flame for few seconds.
  • Add all powdered masala and salt and saute for 1 minutes.
  • Add moong, dalia and mix well.
  • Add water and pressure cook for two whistle.
  • Garnish with fried onion and coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with cold cucumber raita.
