Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • Idli rice 4 cups


  • Urad dal 1 cup


  • Salt 2 1/2 spoons


  • Fenugreek 1 spoon


  • Gingelli oil 4 spoons


  • Mustard 1 spoon


  • Onion 1


  • Split urad dal 1 spoon


  • Chilli powder 1/2 spoon


  • Tomatoes 2


  • Fennel seeds powder 1/2 spoon


  • Coriander leaves 1 handful

Directions

  • Soak Rice for 2 hrs
  • Soak urad dal with fenugreek for 1 hr.
  • After 2 hrs grind urad dal with fenugreek first.
  • Then grind rice.
  • Mix both and allow it for fermentation for 7 hours.
  • After 7 hours prepare mini idlis.
  • Put a kadai on the stove and add oil.
  • When oil is hot add mustard and urad dal.
  • After the dal become golden colour add onion abd and saute for 5 minutes.
  • Add tomatoes and saute for sometime.
  • Add chilly powder and fennel seeds powder.
  • Add half tumbler water.
  • When it boils add mini idlies.
  • Saute it until it absorbs full water.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot.
