Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • Moong dal - 1 cup


  • Spinach - 500 gms


  • Onion - 1


  • Tomato - 1


  • Chilli Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp


  • Lavang - 2


  • Cinnamom stick - 1/4


  • Lemon - 1/2


  • Salt - 1/2 tbsp


  • Oil - 1/2 tbsp


  • Jeera - 1 tsp


  • Hing 1/2 tsp

Directions

  • Cook the dal in a pan with enough water.
  • Grind lavang, cinnamom stick, onion, tomato, chilli ginger garlic paste, spinach to form a thick puree
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add jeera, hing and spinach puree.
  • Saute it for sometime and then add cooked dal, salt and lemon juice.
  • Cook for sometime and dal palak is ready to serve with roti, paratha or rice.
